The Case for Biblical Counseling – Friday Sept 6th, Saylorville Church, 7 – 9pm
This is a seminar focused on introducing all saints in the church to the function and importance of a Biblical Counseling Ministry within the local church. Topics of discussion include Spiritual Warfare, understanding the difference between Biblical Counseling and Secular Counseling models, understanding the goal of Biblical Counseling.
This will be a refreshing look at the practicality of biblical counseling in the lives of believers and how the Scripture is sufficient for spiritual health. There will be a significant amount of time for Q&A in this seminar.
A Biblical Understanding of Self Esteem and Self Image; Saturday Sept 7th, Saylorville Church, 9 – 9:50am
This seminar is targeted towards leaders and those sensing a calling to Biblical Counseling within the local church. This seminar look at the topic of self esteem with the goal of laying the foundational principles of Biblical Counseling by comparing and contrasting secular psychology, integrational Christian counseling methods, and Biblical Counseling (nouthetic counseling).
Big Picture, Little Picture; Saturday Sept 7th, Saylorville Church, 10 – 10:50am
This seminar is targeted towards leaders and those sensing a calling to Biblical Counseling within the local church. The topic of discussion will be centered around implementation and impact of a Biblical Counseling ministry on an individual level (little picture) and for a local church (big picture). This will be in large part an interactive discussion on the practical out workings of Biblical Counseling in ministry.
